Auction Overview

MAG provides a lively marketplace for buying and selling cars, trucks, and specialty vehicles. Our consignment comes from two main sources: dealerships and institutional accounts like banks, rental companies, and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). We offer GSA fleet vehicles to dealers and the public, but all other consignment is only available to licensed, registered dealers.

We don’t own the inventory we sell; we provide remarketing services including reconditioning, marketing, auctioneering, digital sales, title transfer, vehicle inspections and more.

How We Got Here

The McConkey family has deep roots in the auto remarketing business; Bob McConkey, Sr. and his two partners started the first wholesale auto auction in Washington State in 1954.

In 1992, Bob, Jr. and his friend Greg Mahugh opened ‘Dealers Auto Auction of Spokane.’ Before long, we were known as ‘DAA Spokane,’ and our customer base had grown across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Western Canada. We changed our name to ‘DAA Northwest’ in 2000 to reflect our growing market.

Throughout the years, we opened auctions in other cities, but ultimately, we decided to concentrate our efforts on the Western United States. We launched DAA Seattle in the spring of 2013 and MAG Alaska in June of 2023.

MAG has multiple services and locations, but we are ONE TEAM. Our independent wholesale auctions include DAA Northwest, DAA Seattle, MAG Alaska, MAG Now, MAG Specialty Sales, and government auctions that are also open to the public.
