A Note from Collin McConkey, General Manager

Every company knows WHAT they do, whether it is selling hamburgers, shoes, or in our case cars. Most organizations know HOW they do it. But not many organizations know WHY they do what they do every day. The WHY isn’t about generating revenue, that is a result. The WHY is a purpose or belief that drives us to get up and work as hard as we can. You as dealers know WHAT we do, you know HOW we do it, but our Anniversary Sale is the time where we share with you WHY we do what we do. At MAG, WHY we strive to be the best auction is so we can support people. We focus on you our dealers, our employees, and our community. We want to be the best place our employees can work, the best auction you can go to for your business, and support local non-profit organizations. It’s all about the people for us.

That focus is on everything we do, but we like to bring more attention to it during our Anniversary Party & Sale and we ask for your help supporting four of our longstanding non-profit partners: Vanessa Behan, Young Life, Union Gospel Mission, and Spring of Hope International. Cheers to 30 years of DAA Northwest! We have been at it for a while and think that is worthy of celebrating together as we focus on our WHY. Dinner Party & Fundraiser

Bring a guest and celebrate with your DAA and dealer friends Wednesday evening at Northern Quest Resort! This private event will feature a delicious dinner, beverages, live music, and a fundraiser benefitting Spring of Hope International, Union Gospel Mission, Vanessa Behan, and Young Life. As in past years, DAA Northwest will match all funds raised … since its inception, this event has provided over $1.8 million to our non-profit partners!

Exclusive $30K Match to celebrate DAA Northwest’s 30th Anniversary!

Heinz and Anne Zegke, Spokane’s first Porsche-Audi-VW dealership owners, left a legacy through the Heinze and Anne Family Foundation. The Foundation supports automotive-related endeavors and is offering $30,000 in matching funds for Union Gospel Mission Motors Wednesday evening, November 9th.

At the end of our live auction event, funds will be tallied and matched by DAA Northwest with ¼ of the total going to each of our four non-profit partners. If Union Gospel Mission’s allocated total reaches $30,000, the Heinz and Anne Family Foundation will provide an additional $30,000 for UGM Motors.

Featured Nonprofits

Spring of Hope International

Urgent Initiatives:

  • Spring of Hope Transformation Center construction – This building in Kenya will be like no other in the region: A place of worship, livelihood training, employment opportunities, pastoral training, leadership and youth conferences, a farm-to-table store, and much more.
  • Well Drilling – A new well is desperately needed in Koloo, Homa Bay Region. We look forward to blessing people, preventing water-borne diseases, and saving lives through this initiative.
  • Girls reusable sanitary pad pilot program – Many girls miss a week of school each month due to the lack of sanitary supplies. Spring of Hope is working to purchase sewing equipment and materials to provide training for a livelihood program that will employ dozens of young women making reusable sanitary pads.
  • SOHI Mission-Vision Experience February 2023 – We are assembling a team of 15 – 20 short-term missionaries who will travel to Adiedo in February. The team will participate in projects in Spring of Hope’s four focus areas: Clean water & sanitation, educational initiatives, livelihood/agricultural training, and spiritual development. There will be opportunities for home visits, prison ministry, health care work, and ministering to AIDS afflicted persons. Interested in joining the team? Union Gospel Mission

Urgent Initiatives:

  • Expanding services in the LC Valley (Lewiston/Clarkson). This expansion will require an investment in training UGM’s Recovery staff, including trauma care and Genesis counselor training.
  • Providing food and shelter in Spokane
  • Breaking the cycle of addiction through UGM’s recovery programs
  • Providing employment training and opportunities – UGM provides job coaching, computer access and assistance, childcare, and classes
Union Gospel Mission

Vanessa Behan

Urgent Initiative:

At Vanessa Behan, our number one priority is to say “Yes” to every child and their parent in need. This means reaching capacity in our new home. We designed our new, larger space because we were turning away one out of every three requests for help. While our new space allows us to triple the number of children served and provide additional programs that support parents, it also requires us to double our revenue.

Urgent Initiatives:

  • 4 buses are urgently needed for transporting kids to and from camp
  • Two Developing Future Leaders (DFLs) – Funding Young Life’s DFLs program helps our Young Life Areas to bring on future leaders
  • Funding the Metro Spokane/Whitworth/Young Life Regional Training Program so Young Life’s Youth Ministry can continue training college leaders
