Spokane, WA – McConkey Auction Group (MAG) announced today that it has retained Joe LeMonds as General Manager of DAA Las Vegas. LeMonds and his family will relocate to Las Vegas from South Carolina, where he has spent the past two years as AGM/Sales of Carolina Auto Auction. Prior to his promotion to AGM, he managed the auction’s national accounts.
“We’re really excited for Joe – this move is a great opportunity for him and his family, and it’s well-deserved. He will definitely be missed here at our sale though!” says Eric Autenrieth, Carolina Auto Auction’s General Manager and owner. “We’ve begun the search for a qualified candidate to oversee our commercial sales, dealer sales, and marketing teams, and we know that filling Joe’s shoes won’t be easy,” he adds.
Bob McConkey, CEO and President of McConkey Auction Group is confident LeMonds has the management and leadership skills to bring DAA Las Vegas to its full potential. “Joe understands the challenges that dealers and national accounts are facing. He’s eager to help them succeed in their businesses as he works to expand DAA Las Vegas’ market,” says McConkey. LeMonds will work with industry veterans Dan Thomas, VP of DAA Las Vegas, and Russ Norrish, DAA Las Vegas’ Managing Partner.
As DAA Las Vegas’ General Manager, LeMonds joins MAG’s Executive Team of senior-level leaders who are charged with casting and executing the vision of the organization’s current operations and future growth. Recent physical expansion (DAA Las Vegas) and digital growth (MAG Now) have brought additional Executive Team changes to MAG:
- Chris Bradley has joined McConkey Auction Group and oversees Business Development. Bradley managed Titus-Will Automotive Group’s used vehicle operations for several years; in his new position, he is responsible for the strategic sales growth of MAG’s digital and physical auctions. He will office at DAA Seattle and will work closely with General Manager Dave Blake and Brian McConkey, VP of Digital Strategy with MAG Now.
- Dave Pendergraft has been promoted to MAG’s Chief Operating Officer. He formerly served as DAA Northwest’s General Manager in Spokane, Washington.
- Collin McConkey has been named General Manager of DAA Northwest. McConkey previously led the auction’s vehicle processing team and has also managed digital sales. He has been instrumental in the successful launch and growth of MAG Now, McConkey Auction Group’s digital auction in partnership with EBlock.
“I’m really looking forward to working alongside Joe and our entire Executive Team,” says Bob McConkey. “The Stanley family (Carolina Auto Auction) and McConkey family have a deep connection and a long history in this industry. “We’ll be working together closely in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition as Joe comes onboard.”
