August 17, 2021 | Market Insights from DAA Las Vegas’ Joe LeMonds.
DAA Las Vegas held our first annual Beat the Heat promotional sale last week. With a large contingent of regional and local dealer partners in attendance, our auction had its second-best sale of the year aside from our Anniversary sale back in February. Converting at 75% overall, we sold 300 units for the second time this year. It is evident that our market is responding positively to the increased growth and change since DAA Las Vegas became part of MAG a year ago. In addition to our strong dealer consignment partners, our commercial segment including Exeter Finance, American Credit Acceptance, American Honda Finance, and National Fleet all converted at 90% or better.
Despite the heat, there was a tangible excitement in the air throughout the entire sale. We had dealer giveaways in the lanes, a delicious lunch, and even dessert handed out personally by managing partner, Russ Norrish. To cap off the event, two dealers won an all-inclusive trip to join our team at DAA Northwest in Spokane, Washington for the 26th Annual Rock and Roll Sale next week. These dealers will enjoy a private concert featuring Barenaked Ladies (the band, that is) on Wednesday, attend DAA Northwest’s sale on Thursday, and finish off the trip with a round of golf at one of the Pacific Northwest’s best courses with our team. The prize, while fun, did not come easily. 4 dealers battled in a toss-off to dunk DAA Las Vegas’ own Andy Sellers.
As we look forward to the remainder of the year, we are excited to capitalize on the momentum from this event. We have seen continual growth in both consignor and buyer activity. Our ultimate goal is to provide superior service, operational excellence, and the best sale results. If you haven’t been to Vegas yet, I invite you to come experience the difference. Remember, what happens in Vegas, happens at DAA! See you in the lanes!
