MAG Alaska is off and running!
Alaska dealers: integrating with a third wholesale platform in ten months has been a tremendous ask, but you have welcomed us with open arms, and we appreciate you! In just twelve weeks, we assembled a dedicated team, built our hybrid auction model, secured a facility, constructed a test track, and, most importantly, began to deepen our ties with the Alaskan Community. Dealer insight and feedback have been invaluable as we evolve. We welcome and encourage your input to ensure we are serving the community to the best of our abilities.
Here in Alaska, September’s market started slower. Retail numbers have been down, thus pushing wholesale demand lower. Values have stabilized, coming off the erratic previous 12 months. Looking ahead, the need for AWD and 4WD units will be present, and I anticipate the market to correct as retail demand for that product grows.
MAG Alaska will host its Grand Opening event on Wednesday, October 11th. We will feature 200+ units from the region’s finest consignors. Our friends at Continental Auto Group will provide Moose Burgers, and our “Cooking with Continental” promotion will wrap up with a Traeger grill giveaway. Don’t miss it!
