Well, we celebrated our 28th year in business this past week at DAA Northwest. It was a weird one for us…No Wednesday sale, and weirdest of all, no Wednesday night celebration and fundraiser auction. Yes, we did have a great Thursday sale with 1550 consigned and 930 sold. Last year, we ran 3059 and sold 1500 over two days. Obviously, we are now living in a very different market and a different world!
We miss all of you who have been with us over the years and have helped to make every year a memorable one.
The generosity and giving hearts of you, our loyal customers never ceases to amaze me. Over the past 28 years, we have raised $1.6 million for charities that support the most vulnerable and least fortunate of our society. This year, even without a Wednesday night celebration and benefit auction, our customers still donated over $29,000! With our match, nearly $60,000 is going to our non-profit partners when they need it most. While many of us are doing ok these days, so many of the most vulnerable are struggling like never before.
The charities receiving our partnership donations are The Venessa Behan Crisis Nursery, Inland Northwest Young Life, Union Gospel Mission, and Spring of Hope International – You can visit any of their websites for information about what they do. If you feel compelled to give, just click HERE before the end of the business day this Friday, November 20th and we will match your donation. $50 or $100 is a generous donation – thank you.
